Hey, This is a guide on how to use your ACToolkit. First, please read and follow the Wii Homebrew page before doing this.
I HIGHLY recommend going through this guide so you don't mess up your AC:CF data.
First off, you should know about the ACToolkits main features. The first is that it lets you choose between different residents in your town (resident 1,2,3, or 4), and lets edit there name, and fill out there catalog/music list. Once you have selected a resident, you can edit their wallet, ABD, shopping points, town name, and it tells you the town fund. Also, up in the Residents tab you can edit their name. Also, when you have chosen a resident you can edit their pockets, emotions, drawers, or appearance.
Lets start with pockets. Click on pockets and a new window will pop up. At the top left there are buttons called check, place, and delete. Obviously, delete gets rid of one of the things in your pockets when you click on it. Check lets you see with is there (Empty spaces in your pockets are white). Place lets you place an item from the expandable list on the right. Lets say you want to get a golden axe. You would click on place, double click on items, double click on equipment, and then scroll down to golden axe. You would click on that, and then click on a white space in your inventory. Once you have made the changes that you want to your pockets, you can click apply on the bottom right there are the buttons apply and cancel. Press cancel if you did something you didn't want to do, or press apply to make the changes that you made.
Next we will go through drawers. On the main ACToolkit menu, choose drawers. This is basically exactly the same as the pocket editor, but with your drawers.
Now for the emotions. Press emotions on the main ACToolkit menu. A window will pop up. Just select each one of your emotions and change it, and then press apply.
Finally, the appearance editor, which is like the emotions editor. You can change your face style, your hair style, your hair color, your shoe style, and your skin color/tan. Press apply when you are done.
Next we can go through town editing. Go to the main ACToolkit menu, and choose the town tab at the top. You can view a crude version of you town by clicking town map. Then you can change you gate style (brick, stone, or wood) and you can change your grass style ( 1,2, or 3, which is the shapes in your grass/snow). Next you can edit the acres in your town, which is much more complicated (and DANGEROUS). Press edit acres and you will have that crudely drawn map of your town once again. This is similar to the pocket editor in its design-you can use the check and place buttons-and there are the different types of acres to the right. I would not use the acre editor until you know all about the ACToolkit.
After the acre editor we have to town editor, which is the most useful tool in the ACToolkit. Press on edit town, and a large window will come up with a large 80 square by 80 square grid of your town. The upper level of your town will be dark green, and the lower level of your town will be light green. Ramps are orange, and dark brown/light brown/green is the grass quality. Everything else is pretty easy to find out. On the top right hand corner there are three tabs called file, tasks, and view. I would not change view, but if you click on tasks then you can do things like replenishing/removing grass, and reviving flowers, along with other stuff. The File tab lets you save your changes. Below those tabs are the Item controls, Building controls, and Grass controls. The Item controls are like the pocket/drawer controls. You can check what is in a space, place an item from the expandable this on the right, delete an item, and bury/unbury an item.
The building controls let you check what building is there by clicking on the B in the middle of the building. (The dashes around the B show how much space it takes up) After you press check on a building, you can press move and then click where you want the B in the middle of the building to be. You can also place a new building, and delete a building (this is VERY DANGEROUS). To the right of the building controls there are the grass controls, which let you check the grass quality (on a scale of 0-255) and set the grass quality (type in the grass quality in the box).
Once you are down with the town editor press File and then apply. Once you are back to the ACToolkit menu, you can press the Town tab, and then the next one is called edit house. Press on it and then choose one of the houses. A window will pop up that is very similar to the pocket/drawer editor. Once again, you can check, place, and delete items. There is the main room, second floor, and basement. To the right of each room is the items that are on a table. Brown spaces are things like large table that take up a lot of space. Once you are done with that you can press apply.
Next up are the edit lost and found and the edit Recycle bin. These are exactly the same as the pocket editor in design.
Finally, there is the Nook's store editor, which lets you change his store type, clear the sold out flags, and edit the items he is selling. Just press apply when you are done.
When you are done using the ACToolkit, press the file tab on the main menu and choose save. Press OK. Then exit out of the ACToolkit. Take your SD card and put it in the Wii. Go to the Wii memory setting and then delete your old Animal Crossing data. Go to the Wii menu and wait for the disk channel to load animal crossing. Then go to the Homebrew channel, and choose the savegame installer. Press load, and then press the reset button on your Wii. Wait for it to finish and say OK. Once all the text disappears, press the power button. Play your Animal Crossing City Folk game and enjoy the changes you made!!!
